07/03/2010 - Newtown Square, PA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Tiger Woods remained a non-factor at the AT&T National despite finally finding his stroke Saturday on the back nine at pesky Aronimink.
Woods shot his second straight even-par 70 to finish three rounds here at three-over 213. He remained 10 strokes off the lead as second-round leader Justin Rose, at seven-under par, was still an hour from teeing off when Woods finished his day.
The world's No. 1 player began where he left off after the first 36 holes: hitting fairways and missing putts.
Woods, the defending champion, made three bogeys in his first six holes Saturday despite hitting every fairway, saying it was the "worst start you could possibly get off to."
After missing putts from eight feet and four feet on the first two holes, he let a five-foot putt slip past the cup at No. 6 to fall to six-over par -- 13 back of Rose's 36-hole number.
Striping the ball again off the tee, Woods didn't miss his first fairway until No. 7, where his drive sailed left into the gallery. He still made par there after hitting his second shot through the crowd.
His first birdie came at the par-three eighth, where his ball nearly hopped in the hole, rolling to five feet. That's where Woods said he turned it around.
He took 17 putts on the front nine, but finally got a couple to drop when he made a six-footer at the 11th and a 15-footer at the 13th for a pair of birdies.
Woods bogeyed the 15th from the rough, but he birdied one of Aronimink's two par-fives for the first time. He reached the green in two shots at the 560- yard 16th and two-putted for his fourth birdie of the day.
Prior to that, Woods had been 0-for-5 -- and one-over par -- on Nos. 9 and 16 this week.
"I found my stroke coming in," Woods said. "It was nice to be able to shape the ball like that."
Still, putting was a factor. He finished with 31 putts in the third round, three more than Friday and one more than he took while shooting a 73 in the first round.
Pins were tucked on many of the holes, but there were still good scores to be had. John Merrick birdied four of his last five holes in the group behind Woods and shot a 66 to get to minus-two overall. Webb Simpson and Steve Elkington both had early 68s.
"I was hoping I could shoot 64 today," said Woods, who totaled four birdies and four bogeys in the round. "That would have been a pretty good number."
Instead, it was another 70.

American Idol odds : Blake Lewis the Early Standout
An important American Idol betting lines recap from February 20 Guys episode. The 12 men came out flat overall with Blake Lewis appearing to have the early edge after the first hour and a half.
Rudy - was quite good singing "Free Ride" to start off. Randy was not impressed though. Paula thought he started off fantastic. "Never had anyone stop off so lively" said Paula but Simon (who does not like Rudy) does not feel he has a distinct voice and was not impressed either.
Brandon was a little pitchy according to Randy and Paula agreed. Simon said he was a good singer but the song was "too safe" and he needs to make an impact. He was listed at +1200 odds or $1200 paid out on a $100 bet should he win the competition.
Big favorite Sundance came in with a flat version of "Knights in White Satin" and the judges let him have it, including Paula. Randy claimed the song was out of pitch throughout.
Korean American - and a Jenny Woo favorite - Paul Kim was up next. Another pitchy flat one but Randy said he still liked his potential. Kim at +3000 odds was said to have sung a "third rate version of that (George Michael) song" according to Simon Cowell. He sang "Careless Whisper".
22 year old Chris Richardson was up next. He was listed with +1100 odds coming in. He got the best response from the judges though Simon did not believe the vocal was that great.
Nick was boring and pitchy. Simon didn't think he was that bad though and predicted he would be back next week. Nick Pedro was a big +3000 dog coming into this competition.
Beat boxer Blake Lewis was listed with early +1000 odds or $1000 payout on a $100 bet if he were to become the next American Idol winner odds . These of course were the early odds. He was considered original for picking an "odd song". He did not beat box and the judges felt it was the best vocal of the night.
Sanjaya came in as the second biggest favorite after Chris Sligh but his performance Tuesday night was not very good.
Chris Sleigh was the early favorite at +450 odds. Great voice and a great sense of humor. He's a real standout. Randy felt it was on point but maybe ahead of the chorus a little bit. Simon Cowell said he felt like he was in some "sort of weird student gig".
Jared Cotter followed. He was listed with +2000 odds early on to win the competition. The judges felt he needs to take more risks but looked good.
22-year old AJ Talbado, who has tried out for American Idol five times, was up next. "Kind of a theme park performance" said Simon. Though the judges felt he performed okay. Simon did feel AJ might be better than he originally thought.
Phil - this season's military favorite - came into this competition with +1200 odds to win the competition. He was the last to perform. He was certainly strong enough to get through this stage of the competition and perhaps the best one after a shaky start.
Tomorrow night, the ladies perform and I sure hope they do a better job than the boys. Check out all the American Idol betting odds here.

The most popular sports to bet on are NFL and college football along with NBA and NCAA basketball. There are multiple betting opportunities within those sports, beginning with the basic wager on a game’s outcome (also called betting the side). College Football Point spreads are used in both football and basketball in an attempt to even the attractiveness of each team in a match-up. ( See our article detailing how and why point spreads are made)
But you could also simply bet on the money line, or straight-up winner of the game. Oddsmakers use the money line so that more money must be risked on the favorite or expected winner and less money on the underdog to balance the action on both sides. While money line gambling is an attractive option for football and basketball bettors who only care about picking a winner, it is the primary option for those bettors who enjoy wagering on MLB baseball and individual sports like boxing, tennis, golf and racing events such as NASCAR. ( More details on playing the Money Line)
Another bet across all major team sports including football, basketball, baseball, and hockey involves wagering on the amount of scoring in a game, called an Over/Under total. For example, the Over/Under total on Super Bowl XXXIX was 48, which means a bettor could wager whether there would be more or less than 48 points scored by both teams combined in the game.
The final score of Super Bowl XXXIX was 24-21; the scoring of both teams added up to 45, which means the game went Under . So Under bettors won, and Over bettors lost.
Sports gambling doesn’t end there. Betting sides and totals are the most common wagers available everywhere, but many sportsbooks also offer future bets on big upcoming events like who will win next year’s Super Bowl and what movie will win Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
The main advantage of futures is that you can get appealing odds by betting far in advance. For example, with NFL futures you often can get much higher odds on a team by betting before the season even starts. A NFL future bet on a team to win the Super Bowl odds might be 20/1 in the preseason; but by midseason, their odds might decrease to 10/1 if they turn out to be legitimate championship contenders.
Involves one individual wager, whether it be on your team to cover the point spread, to win the game straight-up on the money line, or to go over/under the total.
